Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you play Milo (including the demo and playtests) or visit milothegame.com, and how it is used. Milo is developed by rat cream games and published by Yarrawah Interactive ("we", "us").
Information we collect
Platform account information
Milo is played through Steam. To provide online co-op, achievements, stats, leaderboards and cloud saves, the game receives your Steam ID and display name from Steam. We do not receive your Steam password or payment details. Your use of Steam is covered by Valve's privacy policy.
Gameplay and performance data
The game sends gameplay and technical events to our backend service (Microsoft Azure PlayFab), linked to an anonymous player identifier. This can include things like matches played, progress, weapon and upgrade usage, scores, session length, build version, and basic hardware and performance information. We use it to run online features, balance the game and fix problems.
Crash reports
If the game crashes, a crash report may be sent automatically. Crash reports contain technical information such as logs, the game version, your operating system and hardware details. We use them only to find and fix bugs.
Multiplayer
When you play online co-op, your display name and in-game activity are visible to the other players in your session. Connections between players are made through Steam's networking services.
Discord
If you choose to link Discord, the game may show your activity in Discord and use your Discord account for social features. Discord's handling of your data is covered by Discord's privacy policy.
This website
milothegame.com does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) keeps standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
How we use information
- To provide multiplayer, achievements, stats, leaderboards and saves.
- To fix bugs, improve performance and balance gameplay.
- To respond to you if you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that run the game's features (Valve/Steam, Microsoft Azure PlayFab, Epic Online Services where used, Discord if you link it, and Amazon Web Services for this website), or where the law requires it. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
Retention
We keep gameplay and crash data only as long as it is useful for running and improving the game, and then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example Australia, the UK, the EU or California) you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and you can complain to your local privacy regulator. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
Milo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the game changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
